Anything I need to know about installing a new GPU?

Going to install a new GPU, from my 970 to a 1080 (little redundant, I know), and was wondering if there is anything I should know about the process, and anything related. Sorry if I respond late and thank you in advance if I personally forget to do so!

Make sure you un-install the current GPU driver (even though they are both Nvidia cards) prior to installing your new GPU. Use DDU:

Gotcha, already have DDU so it shouldn't be a problem. And I uninstall the drivers, turn off and unplug my computer, then take out the 970 and pop in the 1080, then go and find the 1080 drivers via nvidia experience or the website, right?
