Making this budget build to play games at 1080p however my question is simply is there any small things I could change to make this build slightly cheaper without noticeably infringing performance?

Won't really affect your price point, but would slightly improve performance going with PowerColor HD 7870 XT 2GB

I would highly recommend getting an aftermarket cooler for your CPU for overclocking.
Such as the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.
