Anything Special I need for 4k?

Hello, I am building myself a new PC to get into the 4k world. My question is do I need any special cables to run from my 4k monitors to my GTX 1080's or does HDMI cables work fine?

Monitor's I am looking into getting.

If for gaming I would go G-Sync and 6700k http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3073366/6700k-6800k.html

32Gb RAM is major overkill if only gaming, there is no benefit over 16

I also video editing sometimes at home for work. That's why I wen't with the 32GB and I7 6800k. Not looking to change my build just wanting to know if I need any different cables then HDMI for 4k Monitor.
