So I was gifted a laptop 4 years ago and it turns out it was really bad. I have nothing to do in lockdown so I took it out now and I wanted to at least make it useable because at the moment it cant run windows smoothly. The Celeron CPU was annoying so I wanted to tackle that, but what I didnt know is that laptop processors are soldered on. I don't want to trash this laptop so can I replace the motherboard with another one, any one, that is decent? I'm open to any suggestions and if any pictures or anything is needed, please feel free to ask. Thanks

This isn't really an option. You'd essentially be limited to finding only a motherboard...

This isn't really an option. You'd essentially be limited to finding only a motherboard that worked on a better version of this Acer laptop that used the exact same case.

Laptop motherboards are extremely proprietary; it's not like having a desktop.
