Question Anyway to convert a 2018 sketchup model to a 2016 version?

I never realized that the 2018 version of Sketchup does not have a free version. Once the 30 day trial expired, it would not let me open models unless I payed $119 a year. Which is honestly a joke. Why is it so much money? Whats even more annoying is that I can not open 2018 files in the 2016 version. There isn't even a free 2019 or 2018 version. While there is a free 2017 version called "Sketchup make 2017" I cannot open my 2018 models in the make 2017 version.

I could use the free online version of Sketchup, but the 2016 free version has more features than the online version.

Is there anyway to convert the 2018 models to 2016, or will I have to deal with the cookie cutter online version?
