Question Anyway to keep Office 365 and Windows accounts separate?

I subscribe to Office 365, mainly for the 1TB cloud storage, it was the best deal I could find, and I've had a Microsoft email account for well over a decade. My issue is on Win11, I have only a local account set up. When I downloaded Office and logged into it, it felt the need to sign Windows in into my Microsoft account, pretty much converting my local account into a Microsoft one. Is there a way, if even possible, to keep Office from taking over my Windows account? Before anyone asks, I reinstalled Windows not log afterwards as I do that several times a year, so my local account was re-established.

if you running local account and you open app which needs microsoft account, and you log in within that app to your online account, windows will still remain as local account

There's a checkbox when signing into apps that require a Microsoft account to use it only for Microsoft apps. This only appears if you're logging into that account for the first time on the local account.
