Anyway to make my laptop better?

Hi I have a Windows Vista laptop and basically i dont like it very much due to have trouble with many things i try to run but i am asking something unrelated to that! My Vista Laptop has accumulated tons of viruses and other things and im trying to get rid of them all, plus my background is stucks as black! My question is "Is there anyway that i can remove every virus and make my background go back to normal?" Any help would be great.

If you have accumulated Tons of viruses my
recommendation is to reinstall your operating system from scratch, or factory settings. You will never get rid of every remnant of every infection you have on the computer.
