Hi, I recently bought a 144hz monitor and by using display port i was able to set the 144hz refresh rate. however, for some reason it doesn't feel like 144hz. my mate has an acer kg241 monitor and that feels much smoother than mine. my graphics card is more than capable of handling 144hz on fortnite. so any idea why?
My monitor = AOC G2460pf.

thanks for the help

Solution
my AOC 165Hz display default setting is 60Hz. to enable 165Hz the "Overclock" option in the "Extras" tab has to be enabled and then the max refresh rate can be set to 165Hz.
i would guess yours has the same type of options but you would have to check the user manual.
though the Display Settings and NCP probably wouldn't give the option to set 144Hz if it wasn't already enabled.

to verify it is actually running at 144Hz you can use an OSD while gaming that will report your FPS. with the game synced to your refresh rate it should go up to 144 FPS.
