All three 1440p gsync monitors have the exact same specs (just look at the pages)..the monitors i'm looking at are
-Asus PG279Q
-Acer XB271HU
-AOC AG271QG
The viewsonic one would likely be my first choice but I heard it'll be very overpriced (over $1200)

I have high hopes for the AOC not having the quality control problems. Opinions? Thoughts?

Very likely all AU Optronics panels. I would take the one you think looks the best.

I have a PG279Q (love the stand) and if you are used to TN panels be prepared for some pretty serious glowing at the edges. Not a problem for gaming since you mostly look at the center. These are AHVA panels a slightly different IPS technology so they will be a little different even to other IPS screens.

Hey,

Just thought i would give you a heads up on the AOC, i bought the AOC271QG4 and to my luck i have 2 dead pixels after 1 month of using it, contacted AOC since its 1 of their premium gaming monitors and their response was negative, also i had 2 of my friends that bought the same monitor and they had dead pixels after 2-3 months with the same reply.

Carefull with AOC, disapointed at them.

99.99% is the usual dead pixel warranty. With an RGB 2K screen that means roughly 1000 pixels have to go bad before they will do something. Some exceptions are made for center of the screen problems. 500 pixels or so for a FHD screen. etc.
