AOC Computer Monitor Flickering

I bought an AOC computer monitor (not sure the exact model), 1080, 144hz. It has been good for the year except for going black for 3 seconds every half hour or so. But recently it has started flickering often, and sometimes the whole screen goes a sort of micro chippy texture, it's almost like when you press down hard on a monitor and it starts to warp, the texture underneath the warp, it looks kinda like a micro chip does. The whole screen goes that texture for anywhere between 2-15 seconds. At first I thought it might have been something to do with my computer but I have my Xbox connected to the screen and the same thing is happening on the xbox except not as extreme. Any ideas on how to fix this? I noticed it happening yesterday.

It could possibly be the capacitors in the monitor that went bad and need a change. Only thing I can think of.
