AOC display experiences?

I have just purchased this monitor:

I plan to use it for streaming and gaming, but wanted to see if there were opinions out there on AOC monitors. Amazon and newegg are light on reviews for this particular monitor.

I intend to play mostly total war, civ, coaster planet and the like. I am aware giving it's a 60hz monitor it may not be the best for shooters and such, but should be fine otherwise right?

Yea unless you can spend $300 more for a better monitor?

I appreciate the answer....I was looking to stay around $300. I had it narrowed down to that one or an LG 21:9, but went in favor of the larger 16:9 with 1440p resolution. Could I spend more? Yes, but I'm trying to ball on some sort of budget. I will post a review with my relatively uneducated impressions once I fire it up and do some gaming/streaming. Thanks!

This monitor is utterly great. Very sharp and good uniformity. Just finished calibration and removed the very slight red cast and it is now pretty neutral. I assume it is overlooked due to less that top end contrast and response time, but I would guess that for most it would be fine.

Of course...being that my basis for comparison is a 6 year 1080p TV...probably better sources out there.
