Aoc f22 windows xp

I have installed an AOC f22 to my computer with Windows XP.

The resolution is set to 1280 x1024, which means I am not using all the screen surface. The resolution is supposed to be 1920 x 1080 (wide screen). I can't change the resolution using the settings from the XP menu.

The monitor is not shown as plug and play in the device manager. Rather it is AOC F22.

How can I change the settings to the correct resolution? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. After further investigation, I think the problem is the graphics card, which doesn't list any output modes with a wide screen ratio. So windows automatically selects the 1280 x 1024 mode whatever I try to do with the screen display. I assume there is nothing I can do about this except replace the graphics card (or the computer)??

Replacing the card should do it. But first look for a new driver for it.

Thanks, unfortunately there seems to be no other way than to change the graphics adapter.
