AOC G2260VWQ6 Problem

Hello everyone. I recently bought a new monitor, the AOC G2260VWQ6 and upgraded to a (used) Asus GTX 970. The monitor is working fine with HDMI but i want to use it with a Displayport to get advantage of those 75hz, and it is not working. I just get a No Signal error. Sometimes it appears right away but sometimes it shows the PC booting, proceeds to the windows logo while its loading and then gives me the No Signal. I'm using the Displayport that was included with my monitor(I dont know if its 1.1 or 1.2, the monitor though supports both of those). My first thought was to go buy another cable just in case I got a faulty one and go from there, but i'd like to hear you guys' opinions before i actually buy another one.

try the monitor & dp cable on another computer even a friend's to see if it still has that issue as maybe it is your used videocard is the problem.
