My new AOC G2460PF 144hz gaming monitor just came in today, and I got it setup and installed the drivers. Because I don't have a DVD drive, I had to install it from the website. After setting everything up correctly, I tried to set my monitor's properties to display at 144hz. When I do this, the monitor has green stuttering lines through the display, but when I revert it back to 60hz, it's perfectly fine. I've tested multiple cables (2 DVI cables and 2 DP cables, all to no avail), and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. Does anyone know if this looks/sounds like a faulty monitor? One thing I also feel like worth noting is that the driver from the web seems to give my monitor a different name than what it actually is (I believe it says AOC 2460G4). It could be that they use the same driver and they identify as the same too, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

My specs:
MOBO:MSI 970a Gaming Pro Carbon
CPU: AMD 8350 8-Core
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 SC

Solution
I would check if the cable meets the minimum standards requirement for 144 hz as it can cause that to happen. Otherwise, your speculation would be correct, your monitor is likely defective.

Oh, I feel so relieved! My replacement monitor just got shipped in today. I set everything up and used my display port cable and voila! There it was! Thanks for helping me decide whether or not to send it in. :)
