AOC good 3D monitor ??

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me! I just want to know if "AOC D2367PH" is a good monitor
This is the only passive 3D monitor I can buy in South Africa.
Why passive: because I have a Ati Radeon graphics card!

Crap no. Passive is worthless, and AMD 3D is even worse. Very few games will support 3D through AMD, and those that do, the image will look terrible because you only get half the vertical resolution and it will ghost alot.

With 3D it's pretty much go Nvidia or go home. Though think carefully about buying into 3D, its pretty much dead and done as a technology, new games coming out really don't work with it anymore.

I had bought this monitor about a month back and using it continuously since then.
I don't agree that the monitor is no good, It has a displays 3d content excellently. Nvidia 3d is active 3d which in turns tries to control the glasses but continuously alternating the view through it. Passive 3d is cool, the glasses are cheap, i mean you can use the same glasses as you get while watching a 3d movie in a theatre. If you wish to watch 3d content, download a full SBS 3d file, it will be huge I am sure.

Now, while playing the movie , change the monitor resolution to sbs 3d and watch the 3d effect. I have tried it to believe. But sadly there are some drawbacks too.
Pros:

1. Nice 3d effect

2. Fits budget. It is really cheap, 2 Glasses comes with the monitor, if more are to be bought, price of those are not insanely high.

3. Convient 2D monitor, no glasses required.

4. IPS panels..Colors are a bit more warm. You can control that but feels a bit noisy (though gaming and movie viewing feels nice)

Cons:

1. The colors are a bit enhanced on auto mode. Everything is a bit warm but very less noticable and I believe you will be able to live with it, if you are not buying it for picture editing or anything related to photography.

2. The company promotes that the monitor is seamless or zero border, which is a lie. It looks like seamless when turned off. If you turn it on..you will see.

3. 2D to 3D mode is just crap. It works a bit but makes you feel dizzy when you try to watch 2D content to 3D. So big no if you think it will cause miracles.

4. The screen is shiny.If you are looking for reflection free screens, this is again a big no.

5. Sweetspot for perfect 3d experience is a bit far and is small. So you need to adjust yourself everytime, if you want to watch 3d content.

I would recommend this product because at this price point it is still a cool 2D/3D monitor.
