aok probelm on ME

Hi

I note that there are some similar questions around, so maybe someone
can help me out.


My son got a new pc for christmas, running windows ME.

He installed Age of Kings, but always encounters the same problem:

you can get all the way to the point of starting a new game. your
villagers appear and you can give them a couple of orders. Then you get
the blue "screen of death" and the following message:

"File name: ALCXSENS(02) + 00009167 Error: OE: 0028: FF16EA07"

I can't track that down on the MS site at all. Can anyone give any
suggestions?

Hi JSP,

That's your sound card driver. Try clicking on START/ RUN
type: dxdiag
and in the sound tab move the slider all the way to the left.

If that prevents the error from recurring, update your sound drivers.
