Question Aorus Error Code 78

So I was trying to get my PC ready for early windows 11 by turning on TMP 2.0 and Secure Boot, but after I did that, my PC would boot but I would get no signal or display on either of my monitors. My Aorus z390 Ultra had an error code 78. I've tried the CMOS battery trick only for it to resume with the error code 78. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When you removed the CMOS battery, did you replace the battery after 30 mins? Was the system disconnected from the wall and all other devices? While the CMOS battery is removed and disconnected from all device(even your display), you should press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. See if that helps. As for the system's death, try going back into BIOS and disable Secure Boot.

I'm still confused why people need to jump onto the latest and greatest when the only adopters out there are reviewers. I'd suggest that people be patient and see what others have to say before jumping into things head first.

i had unconnect my good monitor, and plug in an old 60hz monitor. that seems to let me into the bios to turn off secure boot and tmp 2.0.
support told me that error 78 means it cant detect a monitor, which is completely different to what the manual says so i have no clue what the code actually means, but thats what fixed it for me
