Question Aorus master g2 edition 8+8 motherboard connectors

Hey, just bought a z390 Aorus Master g2 and want to know if it's essential whilst overclocking my i9 9900k to use both 8 pins cpu power connectors? Because I have PC working with just 1 8 pin connector. Kind of wondering what the point of 2 8 pins is. Cheers.

The point is to deliver sufficient power to the CPU when it needs it. Why wouldn’t you plug them both in?

Point is that less than two 8-pin power connections does not deliver enough power to the motherboard in extreme situations when a large power draw is needed.

Power supplies with those connectors are not rare. It is not something hard to find for sale. Power connector adapters are also available.
