I have an Aorus x470 gaming motherboard and a Ryzen 2700x using a 1060gtx 6gb. When I try to boot I get no POST, no beeps or anything.

The lights on the CPU cooler come on and the fans spin, the red light on the mobo also lights up., however the white light on the chip set doesn’t.
This is the third mobo I’ve tried, all new from amazon and the second 2700x that I’ve ordered. I’m finding it hard to believe that I’ve gotten 5 defective parts in a row.
I’ve tried using both 2133 ram and 2666 non-ecc in different slots and different configurations, (1 stick, 2 sticks)
The video card fan spins for a moment after I power it on but then stops, all the other fans continue
Ive tried an older 550gtx, the fan spins without stopping, but still no video.
Ive built the system out of the case on antistatic material as well as using antistatic wrist band.
Ive tried two different power supplies, one brand new, both tested to work in other systems
I get a blinking link light on the LAN port.
All parts were checked with part picker.
Currently the system is sitting on a desk out of case with nothing connected except for power supply, ram, cpu and video card.

Please help, I’m at a total loss. I’ve been building computers for 15 years, and have never had this much difficulty. Please tell me I’m just being an idiot somehow.

A widespread issue with Aorus X470 boards. You just have to check the Gigabyte forums and Newegg reviews to understand how widespread this issue is, with no acknowledgement or fix from Gigabyte.
And yes, I am one of the affected buyers as well. Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming board. Ran fine for 3 months. Then the dreaded CPU LED stays on issue one fine day. BIOS Corruption found. Gigabyte service fixed it. Worked for a week. Then back to the same issue. Now busy hunting for an alternate board 🙁
