Hi there,
I installed today the aerius z390 master and after setting all up and updated the bios, I've started to overclock it.
When I was testing by prime95, there were errors after a few seconds.
I've noticed that the PC was very quiet all the time, so I thought it has to be something with the fans.
So I get into the bios and set all the fans to max.
After that, I passed the prime95 stress test.
The only problem is, that the fans are working constantly at maximum rpm, even on idle PC condition.
I tryied to figure out, how I can manage the fans to work silent on idle and max under load, but i cant find any solution!
I've downloaded the app centre with the system information viewer, but it has no values at all, so I can just adjust the values in the bios.

I have my corsair aio pump plugged in the opt_fan, two fans connected to each other are plugged in the sys_fan1 and two separate fans are plugged in the sys_fan 3 and 4
No voltage or PWN is set.
The two separately fans have a 3 pin connection and the connected 2 fans have 4 pin connection.

Thank you very much

Check these links for more info on overclocking on your Z390 Aorus Master:

This also might help with screenshots of the BIOS as it is a forum dedicated to the Aorus Master and this guy has the setting I like to use with an offset:

Ok...I've got it now.
I had to change the Temperetaure input by each fan to CPU Temp. The default settings were which i had plugged it in, system1 temp and system 2 temp. Now this is ok.
But another think is wondering me now.
I dont pass the stress Test at Prime95.
I've clocked up to 5GHz and I'm now at 1.55V. Now i have to try 1.6V which is a bit to high i think.
Temperatures at 1.55V were 91° max.
I dont think that it is right, because my previous board, an ASUS Prime z370-P, could reach the 5GHz at 1.345V.
Now, with the Aorus i have also an extra 8Pin CPU power connection (12Pin overall now) and my powersupply is a be quiet! dark power 11 650W 80+ Platin, with overclock key activated. The Board should have also a better performance with high loads. I dont know why it needs so much Volts?

Yep, stop!!!! the overclock at 1.5v is way, way too high. For Intel even 1.4v is a bit too much. The Gigabyte boards BIOS is a little bit complicated and I always use an offset but I am not too sure about your board for the correct settings. I have the Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 and have managed a 4.9GHz at 1.27v on my 8700K. You should comfortably be able to get a 5GHz overclock at or just over 1.3v.

I would check out some forums on the Gigabyte Master for the correct BIOS overclock settings. I will try to get back to you with some links shortly. The Gigabyte BIOS is a little more complex but when you understand it, then it is great and provides great stable overclocks.

Also which CPU and Which exact AIO are you using as I use the Corsair H150i Pro...and it is great.

Hi vMax!
Thank you for your answer!
I will shortly read the link you posted!
The previous post of me was a mistake from me, not 1.55v it was 1.355v and it was unstable even with 1.37v .
I've got it now more or les stable with 5ghz, AVX at 1, turbo mode is disabled and with 1.335v .
I think it's a bit too high but it's ok.
I hope to find the right settings to get it smoothly running at 4.9 or 5ghz and not exceeding 1.31V and with AVX disabled.
I've posted also in the overclocking forum my reports step by step

So...my first overclock attemp was made with the first link of yours, but i couldnt stabilize my system with this.
Only with the Settings from "DerBauer" i could get a stable system, but with AVX.
i will now try to make some changes with the second link you posted.

I forgot in my previous post to write my AIO and CPU

AIO: Corsair H100X (runs constant with 4000"RPM")
CPU: i7 8700K (delidded)
Power: Be quiet! Dark Power 11 650W 80+ Platin (with oc key)

Only with the OC Key from the powersupply is it possible to pass the Prime95 test with my current settings (Corefreq: 5GHz, AVX: 1, CoreV: 1.335V)

I have also plugt 2 8Pin supplier for the CPU, so overall 12Pin.
