APC SurgeArest Pro PS making noise

Hi folks,.. I use an APC SurgeArrest Professional 6-outlet strip for my computer and peripherals. It's worked well over the years and saved the CPU during a recent power surge from the breaker box. But now the SurgeArest occasionally makes this incessant, continuous, high-pitch that is really annoying. Anyone know which component inside may be responsible? I'm thinking I can open it up and change out the part... whether it's a cap or a coil, etc. As far as I can tell it works great otherwise. Thx.

theres a couple types of surge protection and the most common type that is found in surge protected power strips is the kind that wears out. Since you say it just saved you I would think that now its time to replace it.
