I got a old APC ups which is connected to my 600va SMPS which works just fine but when playing demanding games it makes continuous beeps and when i stop the same the beep stops

..When i star the ups..If i don't wait for 10-15 secound after switching on the ups to switch on the pc then also it beeps but if i switch on the pc after 10-15 sec then there no beep, strange ,what might be the issue, help me out
and
Will the 600VA be enough for the PC to run/supply power as i don't need more backup time, just don't want random power off

Solution
There are several reasons why an APC UPS will beep. One is if it's on battery power, but that is an intermittent condition and beep. The next is if is in a low battery condition or has a bad battery, which will be a constant beep that is only stopped by turning off all alarms. It can also beep if it fails a self test, but that beep is independent of what the computer is doing. So most likely yours is beeping as an alarm for capacity overload. This is what APC says about that:

3.)Capacity Overload
• Constant, Solid Tone (the red Overload LED will be illuminated)

If the Back UPS emits a constant flat tone and reducing the load does not solve the problem please try the following steps:

1) Turn the UPS off.
2) Unplug all the equipment...
UPS beep for three main reason:
- bad battery
- overload
- no AC power

A 600VA UPS can deliver ~400W. If your PC + accessories connected to the UPS come close to 400W while gaming, then the UPS is beeping due to overload. If the battery is old, the reason the UPS beeps when you turn on the PC shortly after turning the UPS on could be because the battery is not holding a charge too well so when the UPS turns on, it needs 10+ seconds to bring the battery's surface voltage back up in the normal operating range and when you turn the PC on before that happens, the UPS is beeping to let you know that the battery won't be able to handle that load. It could also be a combination of both: the UPS knows its battery is sub-par and lowered its alarm threshold accordingly. In that case, the "replace battery" LED (if your model has one) would usually be lit.

2) Unplug all the equipment from the UPS
3) Unplug the UPS from the wall outlet
4) Push and hold the power on button (you will hear two beeps) release the button before the second beep ends.

At this point, the UPS will either go into battery and work fine or it will continue to emit a constant flat tone. If the unit still emits this tone, it is an indicator that the UPS was permanently damaged due to the overload.
