APC UPS proprietary serial cable

Hi, I have an APC SU620INET UPS which connects to the computer via a serial cable.
I know APC uses proprietary serial cables with their products but I want to know if this older model uses a normal one. Also, are all APC serial cables the same? or did they make different cable for different lines of products ?

As far as I'm aware, all the SmartUPS serial cables were the same - I've never had a compatibility problem despite never making any effort to keep the serial cables that came with different APC UPSes apart.

I'm not aware of any. I don't know what kind of cable the non-Smart ones used for signalling. They may have used a conventional RS232 cable, perhaps.
