trying to figure out if the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler will fit into my case.
cpu: i7-4790k
mb: msi gaming z97 3
gpu: gtx 970 evga

The Hyper 212 EVO is a tall cooler at 6.2 inches. Your case is 7.75 inches wide. This gives you 1.5 inches of headroom.

If there's a fan on the side door, it might take up space the cooler needs.

The CM hyper 212 Evo is 159mm, which is exactly 6.3 inches, from the base to the tip of the heat sink. So measure your case from the socket to the side of the case.

But ThatVietGuy is right, you might have to remove the side fan for it to fit. If the side fan is directly over the CPU socket of your motherboard.
