So I recently put together an older gaming rig that is running windows 7 pro 64 bit. The HD was being reused in it from the other set-up but due to some issues with either the HD itself or whatever windows would get to split second blue screen and then go to blk/white error to run system repair or start windows normally. System repair cannot fix problem so I just gave up and did a compete reinstall of windows. I went to install an older but fun, (I think anyway), NSF most wanted 2005. Seems to install fine, but app crashes every time it starts to load. This happened with one of my older systems in the past with every game that was on the HD after my computer sat unused for some time. No sure if that matters. Could use some advice to see if I can get any games to play. Thanks

All that trouble sounds like your HDD is dying. Time for a replacement!

I tend to advise Western Digital Blue or Black, but those are somewhat high-end (especially the Black series). Still, they're worth every cent.
