So if I begin the game with a character that I want to excel in the arts of
magic and combat and still be reasonably low levelled I could create a
character that is purely interested in stealth, then train my skills in
magic and combat from the misc skill section. So I could become ever so
powerful just by training my misc skills and yet remain on level one.
Hmmm.that would be interesting, killing Dagoth Ur at level one..wonder if it
is possible? Would be funny though.

I had the same insane idea, but your ability to deliver a meaningful
blow to high-lever creatures is utterly inadequete at level one. UNLESS
YOU CHEAT.

... and reminds me to my old Nethack days when I programmed a new
character (called prisoner) with empty inventory, all stats to 3 and the
heavy iron ball (from the scroll of punishment) tied to his leg.

It's not inadequate, if stealth is one of your high skills. The sneak
attack bonus is simply insanely high. Therefore, if you wanted to make a
character to kill DU at level 1, they should focus on Stealth and
Marksman, and either Security or Alteration (is Open an Alteration
effect?). Restoration would be fairly handy, too, for the stat-boosting
spells to make up for your lack of levels.

You would miss out on some major benefits of levelling, of course. Your
attributes would never improve, meaning you'd never get more health, and
thus be killed in one hit by many of the stronger enemies, and you'd never
get more magicka, so you'd be unable to cast many of the higher level
spells. Also, without increasing your Strength, there's no way you'd be
able to wield any of the good equipment without becoming quickly encumbered.
(Some major Feather-casting might help, but it would be a pain.) And
without increasing your Agility, you'd have trouble hitting most enemies, as
well as dodging their attacks, so you'd be quite ineffective as a fighter.
A better solution might be to have a character specialized in combat, and
then train only magic and stealth, as your weaknesses aren't as serious if
you counteract them with stealth abilities.

Ahhh... Nethack.... I loved that game! If I remember correctly, the heavy
iron ball would do insane amounts of damage if you managed to hit with it!
But I guess that's not too likely with all stats at 3.

in fact it is the best weapon at that time but the most danger is to
drink an unidentified potion of sickness -> R.I.P
