HD 4000 on Retina! Ha! Ha! Ha!...All AMD Needs to do is build an APU with better than Haswell or Broadwell graphics after their next die shrink, and a whole new market wiil open up! AMD if you try to milk incremental improvements in your APU graphics, then you are done for in the x86 CPU market!

Your foolishness is showing yet again.

For one thing, I am not an iPerson. Yes, I own an iPod Touch because it meets my needs for a music player. However, I would never own an iPhone, a MacBook or any other Apple product as they are ridiculously overpriced to me and don't meet my needs.

But you seem to think Tom's Hardware is Tom's PC Hardware. You still fail to recognize that regardless of what you like, there are people that like Apple products and because of that, it is worth the time of tech sites such as this one to cover it.

If you think you know better, why not create your own tech site that completely ignores Apple and see how well you do.

I'm a windows user, but TBH Apple isn't as expensive as it used to be now that I look at it.

Samsung series 9 (13") is $1299 for:

-4GB memory
-1.7Ghz i5
-128GB SSD
-1600x900

13" MBP Retina is $1699 ($400 more) for:

-8GB Memory
-2.5Ghz i5
-128GB SSD
-2560x1600

I'd pay ~$200 more for the extra benefits there (specs alone) so we can say the extra $200 is the "apple tax" that goes towards non-specs things like:

-The Apple trackpad (opinions vary, but most people I meet like this the best)
-Unibody aluminium frame (I personally like this)
-Better camera

Which, if your desire is strong enough for these things (and like for the design) isn't much considering you will have a laptop for at least 2 years (pessimistically speaking).

That's about $100 per year.

It's more expensive, sure, but not as much as it used to be.
