Apple Application Support download for Windows XP

I am able to watch videos on You Tube, etc but I cannot view a video emailed to me from my friend's iPhone on my HP EliteBook 6930p. When I download the video and click to view it states on a message that I need to Install Apple Application Support. How do I do that as I downloaded Quick Time, iTunes, etc and shut down my computer. I turned it back on and the same message appears. Thank you.

Install VLC Media Player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html should play it in there.
