Epic already filed an appeal so does Apple still have to make one too? I think Apple will change the conditions of their contract to get around the ruling.

This ruling should favor PayPal greatly. While big name publishers like Epic have the resources for their own payment system, smaller publishers could really lean on PayPal's much smaller transaction fee of 3.5%.

Apple will surely appeal because the ruling means a huge chunk of revenue from store is gone. By appealing, they can also buy more time while thinking of ways to maintain their profit margins. EPIC will file the appeal because while its forced Apple to allow payment using 3rd party systems, they cannot benefit from it since they are still not allowed into Apple's ecosystem, and thus, can't benefit from the ruling.
