Apple Hard Drive On windows 8 issues

i am trying to access some stuff on a old apple hard drive from a latop, i need to know if i can even do this and how to acccess the files on the hard drive without losing any of the info

You will need 3rd party software to make Windows read the HFS+ format Apple uses.

You may be able to try something like this. They say it is free for Windows 8/8.1

You can also find other freeware HFS+ "drivers" or software to allow access to data on a HFS formatted drive.
