Apple laserwriter 16/600 PS windows 7

I got an old but fully functional Apple Laserwriter 16/600 PS which I can't get to work on my new computer with Windows 7.

I'm using the HP Laserwriter 4/4M Plus PS 600 which I understand is the model that the Apple writer is based upon.

I connect through USB.

How can I get this printer to work in Windows 7.

You need a driver for the Apple Printer which supports Win7. Given you say this is an older model the chances are slim. But check the Apple support site anyway.

The Apple may be based on the HP, which might make your problem simpler assuming there's a Win7 driver available for that -- and that Apple hadn't modified the firmware.
