Question Apple macbook pro

Hi

was wondering if any one could advise me on buying a apple mac bookpro with retina display. Is there a new model coming out soon in the future should I hold out and get that one or is the current line just out

What kind of stuff are you looking to use it for?
I don't really follow Apple, but I know that Intel's new broadwell chips are coming out in the next few months, and are supposed to be very power efficient, so maybe wait for them.

Apple releases new MacBook Pro models (on average) about every 260 days. The newest ones were released in July (83 days ago, to be exact.) You would need to wait about 7.5 months for the next iteration if they follow their normal release schedule. Expect the next model of MacBook Pro to have the updated HDMI 2 and DisplayPort 1.3 standards as well as the newer and more efficient Broadwell chipset as @matt1-0-1 mentioned. How long are you willing to wait?
