MAN the U.S. gets their technology cheap.
In my case, $130 cheaper for the 64GB model in the U.S. compared to Australia..

No reasonable reason for it to be marked up just for shipping and handling bundles of these damn things overseas.

Theyre shipped from China though, not the US so that isn't it. Mostly the different values of the currencies and different market demands

Why would you get this when you could get an unlocked nexus 4 for $350 16gb (300 for 8gb)?
Plus the nexus 4 has one of the strongest CPU/GPU combo

Because it has an apple logo on it, specs and price don't mean anything to apple consumers. They get fooled by words like 'thinnovation' and 'resolutionary'

Using logic and fact to explain Apple fanboyism is redundant.

According to Anand (granted that he is a huge biased iFanboi), the Nexus 4 isn't really comparable to the iPhone5 as far as performance goes: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6425/google-nexus-4-and-nexus-10-review . So the price differential in this case might be justified (if for what ever reason you really, really must have the fastest phone possible).

Hah. Prices in my country start from $800.

Sadly Samsung and HTC have started pricing stuff the same as Apple as far as their flagships are concerned. It's like pricing them lower would make them less of a "status" symbol.

But then again Samsung, HTC are more popular in Asia so i guess they manage to get away with it...

I heard a rumor that LG was going to start selling their new flag ship android phone contract free for $249 and you pick the carrier you want in the US.

I think that will rock the US Mobile phone market, its about time they got rid of these 2 year contracts and stopped inflating phone prices to where they cost more than a laptop

I like many smartphone buyers cannot seem to get over the iPhone phenomenon! I cannot take believe kids and teenagers have the current model!

I just holding off until they have the A7 chip and NFC inside and I think it will be in iPhone 5S! Then I am all in!

Hi @Dj1001 Currently iPhone 5 on the second hand market is very hot because of high demand. According to Movaluate analysis, AT&T iPhone 5 16G Black is the most popular among other variants which is about $800.Read I hope the factory unlocked iPhone will be available soon to stabilize the second hand market.
