[SOLVED] Apple pencil not working

I have an apple pencil I bought in 2018 but I have not used it in a few years and now it doesn't connect. When I plug it in, sometimes it shows that it's connected for a split second but it disconnected right after. I have charged it using a 18w charger but it still doesn't work. I have tested it on an iPad 6th generation and an iPhone 11.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

My system is an iPad 6th generation

Would have iPad forget all devices, restart then re-pair. Ensure both are fully charged (overnight). Clean any user serviceable connections with alcohol.

Is this 1st gen pencil?

I did that and it still wouldn't work.
Of course it's a 1st gen pencil, how could i have used it with my iPhone 11?

Have you tried a different charging cable? Have you tried erasing the iPad (after back up). And trying again? With a clean iOS? Not restoring from iCloud for troubleshooting purposes.

You need to take it to the store that you bought it, maybe this failure is related to the manufacturer. If you are lucky, they will give you a new one. And if you broke it, I'm sorry.
