Good news for P67 motherboards.

Seriously, THREE posts about Apple in a row. HP released 10 machines earlier this week and that had 1 post. Apple hasn't even released yet and we're on the third article.

Come on guys.... :/

P.s. I cannot stand visiting Engadget due to the obvious Apple love but still love Toms

Yeah, but HP is not magical...nor is Lenovo or other manufacturers out there. There is only one apple on this planet and we all have to cherish it. Now bow down and say you're sorry!

Am I the only one who finds it a so funny that Apple needs to close it's store to add new articles? That's impressive technology : imagine how it would look like if Amazon had to shut down for ten minutes every time they add a new article to their catalog ;-)

Agreed. How about eBay trying to shut down every time a seller post a new item?
Apple "think different".

I'm not a big apple fan, but one thing the company has mastered is how to make people talk....... word of mouth, whether it be good or bad, is fantastic. Them shutting down their site for a morning costs them some sales, but those people will be back when the site comes back up and the meantime its got all the techsites going nuts talking about what they are or aren't doing to the site.

I feel shafted due to the lack of blu-ray support. The superdrive is obsolete. I understand that blu-ray movies are in direct competition with iTunes for HD content, and I also understand that Apple had to carefully weigh the opportunity cost of ditching blu-ray vs the customers that wouldn't buy Macbooks, and in the end iTunes store option won. I just want them to stop bullshitting everyone with the whole Blu-ray is a dead-medium that won't take off deal.

Reasons why blu-ray is superior to iTunes content:
- Loads instantly
- Superior video/audio quality
- Not restricted to watching on computer or some phony TV peripheral
- Comes in a box, so it's collectable and displayable (this matters)
- You can take it to your friend's house
- It's an industry-standard format agreed upon by virtually everyone
- Blu-ray format has the framework for future expansion using the same hardware
- Optical media makes for great storage/backup (9GB on dual layer DVD??)

So in short, thanks for nothing Apple.

"Please alert you favorite tech blog."

Ha ha, very clever. Even if they have to drop the site to add new items, at least they can portray a sense of humor.
