One facility out of how many? Besides, HP and Asus are also Pegatron's clients. Our prayers would've worked if somebody would "accidentally" drop a small nuke on Apple HQ :)

Yeah they only say its Apple's supplier because they are a more newsworthy company, they get more clicks. This just goes to show that lax standards and regulations lead to accidents like this. Look at countries like Japan and Taiwan who have high standards in manufacturing for that they have a great reputation in manufacturing but because it's slightly more expensive to produce in those countries no company does it because it hurts the "bottom line". How many lives do these companies need to put a risk to make an extra $2 per unit?

No, they say it's an Apple supplier because they were working on a panel for Apple when that happened. All my best to the workers.
The Apple devices are so eager to explode, they won't even wait for the battery to be put in nowadays. All the workers that make Apple-related components should automatically get a raise for working with explosives.

[citation][nom]JasonAkkerman[/nom]"It is described as a minor explosion"Any explosions that injures 60 people is far from minor.I hope they all recover.[/citation]
Well it's minor compared to say a nuclear bomb exploding.

I wouldn't doubt that it was aluminum dust based on the conditions I've seen in some of those plants (I'm still surprised clothing/textile manufacturing plants aren't going up in flames weekly over there). We work with that stuff pretty regularly and you definitely have to know your hazards. Safety regulations also require that you store it in waterproof containers in case there's a fire. Homeland Security and the FBI also get involved to make sure you're not using it to make bombs.

Optimus, what have you done... D:
In seriousness that is a lot of people, I hope they recover well.

[citation][nom]jacekring[/nom]I like the part where the company said it would make it "best effort" to get medical treatment for the injured employees....[/citation]

If treatment gets too expensive, it's cheaper to dump the disabled and hire new ones.
