Application DLL missing after hard boot of computer

How can I figure out how my application dll, not windows dll ( SFC wont help in this scenario ), went missing before/after a hard boot/unexpected reboot of a computer.

Disk failing? anti virus/malware software deleted it?

Neither, checked both. I'm thinking maybe Pendmoves.exe to dump the information?
