Applications downloaded from the internet will not load.

Hello, I just built my first pc and installed the OS and drivers and everything. I don't exactly game, I built my computer for trading stocks. Now, I currently downloading my trading platform from Schwab and it downloads alright, but when I try to open the application it says there is a service error. I thought it was the company, but I downloaded another trading platform and another, getting the equivalent messages. If anybody has had a similar problem or knows a possible solution, please help. thank you.

Could be anything, did you check the support for the programs you are trying to install to see if there is a required part like .Net or Visual Basic runtime or anything that needs to be installed?
