apply thermal paste to 4790k

Hi,

I was wondering what the best way to apply thermal paste to my 4790k is. I know that there are lots of methods and that others work better for certain cpu's. Thanks in advance.

I usually just put a drop in the middle and then let the pressure of my heat-sink do the work. With time the paste will even out, and ultimately perhaps hopefully the distance between the CPU and the heat-sink is as little as possible - and as even as possible.
