I had some application both on my main (C:) drive and on my D: drive as well. (rstudio, microsoft sql server etc.) I uninstalled these on my main, C: drive to free up some space, but now when I open them from the D: drive I get errors that say the files are not installed... is there any way to fix this?

Same question as rgd. If you simply copied install directories to a new drive -- which is not how this is done properly -- you're going to run into problems.

I did not copy install directory, the apps were properly downloaded and installed on both drives separately.

And what was the timing? Generally, software objects to a second install. How and when exactly did you install the applications on your secondary drive? And at what point did you uninstall the original app install? Also, even when you can install two instances of an application, installing one of the instances will remove files that both instances need.

Install on D: > install on C: > uninstall on C: is the full timeline
And now I'm going through the apps in the D: drive, some work (browsers, cheat engine, game launchers-steam, epic, uplay, NCIDIA geforce experience etc.) the main ones that are not working are: R/Rstudio, tho this I managed to fix after a reinstall, Microsoft SQL server management studio and anaconda for python. The last 2 are still not working.
