My A10-6790k idles at 62-64c when looking at Speccy. However, when I check cpu temps from bios, it shows that my temps are only at 40-45c. I've checked HWMonitor as well and it gave different readings. I've heard that temperature programs cannot really give accurate temps of APU's. Am I in the clear or should I try fixing this? I've already reseated my cooler.

Also would like to add that I've been playing demanding games well. I've played Fallout 4, Shadow of Mordor, Dota 2, etc. at higher settings and I've been fine so far. Are my temp readings just wrong?

I don't know if I am still using the 12 GPU cores. I don't need my iGPU anymore I believe because I already have a 270x. Would you mind telling me how I could find out? And also how to turn them off?

In the bios it has the option to turn off integrated graphics. and to bad you do not have a 250 or 240. the 250 and 240 are the only cards capable of crossfiring with the a10 APU, just like its another card for even greater performance.

Set your graphics to PCIE in the BIOS
