Apu a10 for cf or amd 8350

Hello,
i have a question. i want to upgrade my cpu. at this moment the only good part is my ati 7870oc edition so i will buy a motherboard and a cpu. now i am between the new amd apu a10 and fx8350. is it better to just get the fx8350 or get the apu and maybe crossfire his gpu with my 7870 and if its possible to do that. thanks for your time guys

Don't bother with the A10. No good for your needs. Its a good idea for HTPC and very light gaming. I don't think crossfire will work as your GPU is too fast.

If you are solely looking at gaming I would suggest an i5/z77 combo.

You say you want to upgrade your CPU so I'm assume you already have the motherboard? If that's the case they may not be uncompatable as the APU is socket FM2 were as the 8350 is AM3+.

The FX8350 will be better for gaming in general but as Conkerman said an I5 system will do much better but that depends on your budget.

In terms of gaming, Intel have AMD beaten ATM. There's really no reason to buy anything but.

If you already have a socket AM3+ motherboard, then just upgrade to the FX-8350.

The Trinity A10-5800k is socket FM2 so you need to buy a new motherboard. Overall, the FX series CPUs are more powerful than Trinity. Additionally, at best you can only Crossfire with a Radeon HD 6670 / HD 7670 (same card, different name). Anything faster and the internal GPU is deactivated.
