Hey guys, im running an amd 7850k apu. Now I recently bought a gigabyte g1 970 for around $370.00 and Im realzing my framerates never increased upon installation of the card. Is it possible that my pc is using the apu's gpu component and not my 970? If you know any way to help me please comment. I feel like I vspent almost 400 dollars on a shiny led in my computer.

Solution
Check and make sure you're machine is recognizing/using your new GPU by running a directx diagnotics.

1.Click Start.
2.On the Start menu, click Run.
3.In the Open box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.
4.The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens

On the top click the Display tab and see if it lists your 970

Its been plugged into the gpu since i've gotten it..
