APU Processing Power

I'd like to ask you if i install a discrete gpu (eg 750 GTX Ti) to a pc with cpu (a8 6600K) then the processing power of cpu is going to increase? decrease? remain constant?
In an other words does the gpu takes proccesing power from an apu-cpu?

Your apu gpu wil let the discrete gpu to do the graphics work.

The CPU and GPU portions of your APU are mostly separate. If you add a discrete GPU and discontinue using the integrated one, it will not affect the CPU portion.

The discrete graphics should also reduce cpu temperatures.
