Solution
you're overstating the APU capabilities. Its the 2400G that approaches GT1030 level play.

she's a $500 build:

It depends on whether you plan on upgrading it in the near future. I'm currently planning a $400 build with a ryzen 3 2200G, and I'm going to buy a graphics card when prices come back down to earth. I believe in your price range you can get better performance with a pentium+GTX 1050 ti.

You codl also replace the 1200 with a 2200G for the same price and have a newer, faster chip, but you might need t update the Bios on the motherboard (AMD wioll let you do that for free, by sending a free cheap A6 APU just to upgrade the bios with. you just have to send it back when you're done).

You coudl drop the SSD to stay under $500
