I'm making an arcade machine I want to play all the way up too play station 2 games and maybe some steam games such a street fighter and mortal kombat.
Trying to keep it as cheap as possible.. this is what I have so far http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/ZLyPNG
any suggestions on to make it cheaper or to make it better but still keeping the price as low as would be appreciated
Just so you know i won't be needing a case as it'l l will be being put inside the arcade machine ... thanks in advance

PCSX2 uses 2 cores so I'll just go with dual core. what's your budget?
PCSX2 doesn't add performance when upgrading RAM beyond 2 GB

CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor (£87.86 @ Ebuyer)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£67.60 @ Aria PC)
Memory: Kingston Fury Red Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£25.78 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£77.98 @ CCL Computers)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked Video Card (£109.99 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze...
What a fantastic idea!

If you really want good performance out of the FX-6300, you gotta be willing to spend more money on a better motherboard and cooling. The FX-6300 at stock clocks is a pretty poor processor. There are two options for you from here - downgrade the HDD and maybe graphics card to spend more on the motherboard and cooler, or go the Intel route.

I'll try the Intel route:

If you want to go AMD, I suggest getting a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P and a Raijintek Aidos.
