Archer C9 WiFi Speed

Wondering if this is normal...

I have TP-Link Archer C9 v.1 router. direct connect with ethernet we get 250 mbps. with 5.0 ghz I get anywhere from 160 to 190 mbps. And with 2.4 ghz, I get 80 to 90 mbps. I have talked with TP-Link which they sent a replacement but I am seeing same Behavior. This isn't normal correct? I should be seeing same speed whether I'm on 5.0 or 2.4?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds about right. 2.4Ghz with 20Mhz default bandwidth will give a 140Mbit link speed so 80Mbit is good throughput. 5Ghz has 40Mhz as default bandwidth so double the throughput. -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi#Throughput
