Unfortunately, I have to turn sales down when some players are trying to buy
items for just too low a price. Some Architects may also be selling too low
as well. Neither, is helping our profession. If we begin selling too low,
buyers will always expect that with everything we sell. And, it also
wouldn't be very fair to those who are willing to pay the "going" prices of
things. I even had players expecting that I sell heavy BER13 harvesters or
Guild Halls for 100k. I woudn't undersell myself or fellow Architects just
to make a quick sale.

Ever wondered what the average prices of some items are? Here's a very good
link to start your pricing. Don't forget, some items take High Qual
resources and others take identical factory crated item. Let's not forget
the time we take for crafting and providing a quick turnaroud.

Hi Dawson,

I kind of understand where you are coming from *I think*, but I
disagree. The SWG economy is based on the "Adam Smith" free market
economy. Basically the way all western capitalist economies are run.

The basis for these economies is all about encouraging competition. If
I can get 10 times more customers than you by enticing them away with
lower prices to make a larger profit then I will. This is better for
the customers and the economy in the long run.

You are suggesting "Price Fixing", and many others in SWG agree with
you. Lots of other crafters get annoyed that I always sell for less,
but my customers (even the ones that don't "mind paying the going
rate") never get annoyed. In fact they rather like it!

It's my choice to charge less and sell more, and indeed it is the
basis for a healthy economy. Most companies in the real world that get
together to organise price fixing get in ALOT of trouble with their
respective governments.

Please don't feel too threatened though, I'm not an Architect and I'm
on a different Galaxy! =)

Take care,
- autora

After thinking about this some more, reading your response and other
responses from other boards, I think you (and others) are correct.
Thanks....
