Question Arctic Accelero Fan connection won't fit

My Arctic Accelero Xtreme iii has a 4 pin and 3 pin connection for the fans but my gpu only has a 6 pin and 2 pin port. Is there any way to fit the 4 pin on the 6 pin port and make it work?

Like the title says. Will it fit without custom solutions? The MSI 970 Gaming isn't reference from what I've gathered, but I can't find more details. Arctic says the Hybrid II will fit reference PCBs with a 98mm width. Would the MSI be troublesome to fit wtih this cooler or not?

I just tried using the 4 pin adapter that came with it and the fans didn't work 😕 I guess the cooler is DOA.
