Hi , guys!
How much Arctic MX-4 gel should apply and how often?
A 4g tube should be enough for 4 times? 1g per 1 apply ? more or less?
Is it only for water cooling or also for air cooling?
Many thanks!

Solution
D
MX-4 is high quality thermal paste that works for both water cooling and air cooling.

Apply a pea-sized dot in the center of the CPU.

If you have a Ryzen, you can apply 5 dots or in an X pattern for increased coverage, but from my experience, it didn't matter. The pea-sized dot spread the same as the methods above even on a Ryzen, it's up to you to choose which you're more comfortable to do.

Arctic MX-4 should be changed every 3 years so, it is extremely durable thermal compound and it has no curing time. Make sure to gently twist the cooler before taking the cooler off if you have a Ryzen so as to not rip the CPU out of its socket. I also recommend stress testing the CPU for about 10 minutes before taking the...

Arctic MX-4 should be changed every 3 years so, it is extremely durable thermal compound and it has no curing time. Make sure to gently twist the cooler before taking the cooler off if you have a Ryzen so as to not rip the CPU out of its socket. I also recommend stress testing the CPU for about 10 minutes before taking the cooler off so the paste can warm up. Even if this paste doesn't harden that much, it still makes taking the cooler off easier.

Only use isopropyl alcohol or Noctua thermal compound wipes to clean the paste from the cooler and the CPU, don't use water or whatever else. You have to reapply thermal paste every time you take the heatsink off.

Solution
Don't go by grams, just look at the pictures and that's exactly how much you should apply.

Again, I would recommend isopropyl.

It's not too small. It will spread with the cooler's pressure and eventually heat. You should apply a slightly larger dot if you have a Ryzen. On Intels, it's enough.
